Los Olivos Mexican - Isleta Pueblo

I cant find better menudo anywhere BUT here! I LOVE there menudo it's so good and has the right amount of meat every time! Thank you guys for making such amazing food!

Food was good. I tried the huevos rancheros. Had its own unique salsa added on the eggs that I appreciated. Mexican food that didn’t disappoint when I was looking for something that reminded me of mom’s cooking. Patio area was a nice touch. Was greeted by their doggo. If I’m in the area again and wanted something that I know what to expect, I’ll definitely be coming here again.

We were blown away by the vibes of this little place right away! Los Olivos was recommended by a local down the street, when I asked if he would recommend a favorite restaurant close by. He was emphatic that it was really good! He even pointed to the little green building surrounded by a black fence. The dining area appeared to be two small rooms and a shaded porch. We seated ourselves in the main dining room as it was mid afternoon and very quiet. The patio would have been too warm. The AC was on, but not “frigid” as is often the case these days. Perfect. The tables were clean. Annia, our server, was helpful. When orderIng iced tea, she even asked if we’d like Sweet 'n Lo! No one ever does that! We took time cruising the menus, much of which was in Spanish. I was very intrigued, but as we’d already eaten lunch at home, this was just a “test.” Burritos of Carne de Asada and Carnitas! Wow!! They were simply presented like soft and warm little pillows with a few chopped tomatoes and lettuce on the side. I’d never tasted one like it! Crispy pieces of pork, nestled in with rice beans and melted cheese. One bite and I knew this as a very special place. Ummm. Heavenly! We had eyed a special flan desert advertised on the wall. But it had sold out!I am a very tough critic when it comes to restaurants. Los Olivos is my kind of place. Honest food prepared with love, family owned, delicious. We will return again and again. Small, clean restaurant. I ordered to go and my order was ready in 10 minutes. It was slower that day so I went in and out quickly. Employees are bilingual. Food was pretty good, I got the quesa birria tacos with rice and beans for $20.5 bucks more than I would like to pay but it was tasty.
