Eloy's - Isleta Pueblo

This was me and my ladies first time eating here. The atmosphere is very nice, filled with real wooden tables and chairs. A lot of historic photos of the original owner and family members. The restaurant is very clean and very well maintained. The staff is very kind and patient and attentive. The food however, is definitely store bought from a local grocery store. Didn’t appear to be hand made or from scratch. I had ordered a cheeseburger with fries, the patty was just that, a frozen patty that was purchased from what I would guess Albertsons. And the fries were definitely store bought frozen product that had just been cooked and prepared for the customer. That is the only negative I can say about this restaurant. The food was properly prepared, nice and hot and tasted good. But I would be more impressed if the food was hand made. I.e. get some good ground beef and hand make it into a patty to cook and season it with salt and pepper. I would say the same with the fries. Get some potatoes and hand cut them and season them after cooking them. If this restaurant would hand make their food, I would reconsider going back as a usual customer. But for anyone that wants to try them out, all in all, a good experience we had today.

My experience in this restaurant was very unpleasant. As my family and I walked in the empty restaurant, we walked in and were looking to sit on a table close to the window. At the same time, we were confronted by a lady stating the front door had a sign to wait to be seated. I apologized and told her I didn't read the sign. She didn't smile and guided us to the table she wanted us to sit. The prices were a bit ridiculous ? if you asked me. We come from El Paso, TX. The food we ordered was not good. I asked for two beef tacos at almost $6.00 each. The tortilla was the shell taco ? with dry ground beef. ??‍ I personally don't recommend this place. Stick to what you know you're going to get. Fast food would have been better. My humble opinion.

This was a nice gem. Our shuttle driver recommended this place. I ordered the Chile Relleno, and it was amazing. The spiciness was just right, the cheese just melted oh so good. I'm big on beans and rice and was pleasantly surprised by how fresh everything tasted. Will come back for sure.

I came in for the first time and the food was great and the service was awesome. I will be back soon.

We went here based on the high rating on Google. We should have looked on yelp as well. We live in an area with amazing Mexican restaurants and food. This restaurant wasn’t great. It mostly seemed to be reheated and not freshly made. The food was just mediocre and we left feeling disappointed. It didn’t seem authentic or well done to us.
