SF Bay Area pricing for a single croissant, without the French. My guess is because the rent is super high. Food cost for an operator to make 20 croissants is 12.25 including butter, and adjusting in for high food cost in Albuquerque.
Very small selection when we went. No crème brûlée donut which appears from reviews and social media to be a signature. Pastries decently made but average flavors. Especially for the high prices.
I stumbled upon this place while yelping for breakfast pastries. We've been to Sawmill a few times for lunch. It's a quaint little pastry shop all the way in the back of Sawmill. The prices were pretty steep, ranging from $4-5 for a croissant and $7-8 bucks for danishes and other pastries. They also have jars of jelly and honeys for sale! We shared a Cream Brûlée donut, strawberry pastry and ham cheese baked pastry puff not sure the name lol. Different types of goodies to try for a splurge.
A tad disappointed, not sure if it's the pastry I got but again disappointed. Spent close to $20 for 3 pastries, I was expecting a fresh golden crisp bite with flavors exploding from the blueberries and custard but didn't get any of that.
