Found their so far reported extensive vegan menu has now been sunk for a vegan option for starters, main and dessert. I ordered bread/liven, main and dessert, as I usually cannot manage starters. The £14 tofu/cauliflower main course was delicious and beautifully presented, but more the size of a starter. Would def try the Polnta starters even when it eats again. Dessert was Cashew based cheesecake with sorbet and honeycombs (see picture), which was just as beautiful, tasty but tiny. My son had a milk-free fish and chips and my daughter a child-sized version of halloumi and chips, possibly the best chips ever! The staff could not have been more friendly, helpful and nice. The restaurant itself has a great sea view and is very pleasant inside. If you are aware of the limited menu, you should not be disappointed with the food here at all. Overall, a great place that deserves the maximum 4-star rating if it had even more vegan options.
My friend and I went on vacation for lunch. The location could not be more beautiful, with views of the beach and eastern soles. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and could not have been more helpful. They have highlighted separate vegetarian menu with vegan options. You will also be all vegetarian appetizers and mains to be vegan. The food is unbelievable and the staff really interested in hearing about veganism and understanding what else they can do to offer more choice for vegans. We have recommended some different things they could try to include a local cheese supplier and they took all the details and seemed to explore more. A really positive experience and they are dog friendly! Updated by previous review on 2018-04-26
They used to have a vegan menu. Now they had no vegan main course options. You could have made a bigger starter that includes some vegan options. I finished ordering Fritten and a starter. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it.
They used to offer a vegan menu, but now there are no vegan main course options available. It would have been better if they had a larger starter with some vegan choices. I ended up getting fries and ordering a starter, but unfortunately I cannot recommend it.
I recently took my children to this restaurant for lunch after reading reviews from the past year. While the previously advertised extensive vegan menu has been reduced, there were still vegan options available for starters, main courses, and desserts. I opted for the bread with olive tapenade, the pornstar cocktail, and a cashew-based cheesecake with sorbet and wafer for dessert. The tofu and cauliflower main course was delicious but on the smaller side, more like a starter portion. I would also consider trying the polenta starter on a return visit. My son enjoyed the milk-free fish and chips, while my daughter loved the child-sized halloumi and chips, which she claimed were the best chips she had ever tasted. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and kind. The restaurant has a fantastic sea view and a pleasant atmosphere inside. Despite the limited menu options, diners should not be disappointed with the experience. Overall, this restaurant deserves a solid 4-star rating, with potential for an even higher rating if they expand their vegan offerings.
