New Holmwood - Isle of Wight

I absolutely loved this place! I had visited once for a wedding many years ago, but today I took my elderly mother out for lunch. The welcome we received was exceptional, and we were seated at a lovely table in a quiet area with a sea view. The service was outstanding, very professional and efficient, almost like a blast from the past. The food was delicious, of excellent quality and expertly prepared. We couldn't find any faults with the whole experience, and I am left wondering why I haven't visited in so long. I will definitely be returning soon, especially after seeing their offers for a ferry-inclusive deal with accommodation and meals. Also, the receptionist kindly escorted my frail mother to the restroom to ensure her comfort and confidence - it was a lovely gesture. 11 out of 10 for New Holmwood!

This lovely hotel has been with us through the challenges of Covid, including our wedding night, blessing, and reception, as well as other visits. Now, I am here for a birthday treat from my husband. I can't imagine a better place to celebrate my birthday. The staff are always amazing and make us feel so welcome. I don't understand some of the negative reviews, all I know is that it is wonderful and we wouldn't stay anywhere else in this area. It feels like a home away from home, with delicious food. Thank you once again to David, Cathy, and Julien. We absolutely adore this place.

The restaurant has a beautiful view and its own parking lot. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. However, I was disappointed to pay nearly £5 for a pot of fruit tea that used an Aldi tea bag. The price of £8 for a pot of standard coffee for two was also a bit high. The teacake was tasty, although it seemed slightly stale when toasted or possibly had freezer burn. It came with a cold pat of butter and a pot of jam, but overall it was still enjoyable. The staff was very friendly, and the toilets were clean.

Absolutely perfect. Lovely hotel on the sea front perfect food and room. Would recommend this to anyone. Wonderful breakfast and service

This place had been recommended to us by some friends and so we thought we’d give it a try for our Anniversary meal. Wow we wasn’t disappointed,Great service excellent food and a view to die for Definitely be going back.
