People were eating and giving bits to their dog. We don't mind dogs but good owners keep their's under control
We visited Wills bar on Saturday 27th August in the evening with the hopes of having a great time but unfortunately we had a horrible experience. I was told by the Oyster catcher that you just had to turn up in the evening, no booking was needed. However, upon arrival we were told by a guy on the door that the venue was full and he could not let anyone else in. This is completely understandable as I am fully aware that once a venue is full, for health and safety reasons, you cannot allow anyone else in. However, we sat by the outside cocktail bar by the door and observed many people leave Wills bar. So with these people leaving, it is not at full capacity. I politely asked the guy at the door (white shirt, grey hair) if now some people had left, it was possible for thr 3 of us to enter. The response was a very blunt no and that it was still at full capacity. When questioning this regarding the people who had just left, he told me that they were people who were coming in and out. Again, this is fine but how is this being monitored when there is many people in there? How can you possibly remember all of the faces of the people coming in and out? Surely this would be far better monitored with a stamp hor wristband system? It infuriated me even further when we saw a large group of people being allowed entry after us, a small group of 3 were abruptly told no. I am really disappointed with how this has turned out, we really like the OC and Wills bar and I have been coming to Rhosneigr every year since I was a child and have so many happy memories here. I was really looking forward to tonight as usually there is not much night life in Rhosneigr. We wanted to come tomorrow as well but think we will give it a miss with how tonight has gone. As said earlier, I completely understand and respect how you deal with the venue at full capacity, that was well organised but when its one rule for one and one rule for another I think this is very funfair and you should have a better system in place such as stamping people hands if the same people are allowed in and out.
I had a fantastic experience celebrating my 40th birthday at Will's Bar, thanks to Zoe and the amazing service she provided. Special thanks to Tracey and Jordan for quickly making 20+ delicious pizzas. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great service and delicious food!
We have been for lunch many times when visiting the Area. Lunch on a Wed was super busy ! You order drinks in wills bar and a small menu of dishes outside at pats shack where you order and receive a buzzer when food is ready to take back in to bar. Not being super hungry we ordered the Bully boy loaded fries. Hmmm...£10? Rather overpriced? Food arrived quickly ...a dish of skinny fries with around 30g of pulled brisket and mayo/bbq sauce/jalepeno topping. It was nice but really not worth the price. This is Rhosneigr and you pay a premium for the truly gorgeous access to the sea etc so that 's where it is worth the cost!! Pizzas looked good and probably at £13 a better value. Not gonna stop me coming again but it is not good value for what you get.
Well worth a stop over. Even better when live music is playing. Food from the caravan is ok, nice area outside to sit out in the summer.
