We got our food more than 30 minutes after we ordered, at a relatively quiet lunch time on a Monday. We got fish soup which was even not worth waiting for. It is advertised plentyful , meaning satiating, but it only contained a few pieces of fish. It it was quite peppery. I would have imagined something so unenthusiastic and sloppy like this a decade ago but not in 2024. And no, I was not in a bad mood entering this establishment. Not coming back I 'm afraid
Having explored the town decided needed lunch. Creamy fish soup on the menu sealed the deal. We sat in the conservatory. The soup did not disappoint salmon, prawns, two different white fish and potatoes with herbs accompanied by focaccia type bread. Friendly service.
Ate here a few times during our stay in Akureyri, it was opposite our hotel. The food was good, the service quick, but not hurried and the staff were very friendly. We can recommend the chicken and waffle, the crispy chicken and the burgers are good. Reasonable prices for Iceland too. We would eat here again.
Our group of four (including two vegans and a peskatarian) found the construction to a wonderful place to lunch. something for everyone and delicious to boot! service was fast and friendly. it was early afternoon and the place was empty, so I can't comment on the busy times, but the service was friendly and attentive. I had heard that islanders like their Burger-Saucy, but saucy tacos were a little unexpected. but they were unique and surprisingly good. the vegan salad was pretty good, and the delicious after that were a real hit for everyone.
The food wasn’t good and absolutely not tasty, and was very artificial, oily and heavy, particulary the chicken pasta. The pasta was floating in some white thick sauce without any taste, with some oil and few cubes of chicken I can only hope it was a real chicken… Definietly not worth the money. Tastes basicaly the same like instant pasta from grocery store.
