Tina's Market - ISLAMORADA

Tina's Market is definitely open for business, despite Yelp indicating otherwise. Fortunately, while driving north from Key West, I was searching for a breakfast spot on Google Maps and stumbled upon this place. The café con leche with half sugar was delightful. I tried the pork tamales, which had a hint of sweetness thanks to the sweet corn blended into the masa. The steak, egg, and cheese sandwich was enjoyable, even though the beef was clearly frozen beforehand; it was still very flavorful, especially since it came out piping hot! The breakfast platter, featuring eggs, sausages, red potatoes, and Cuban toast, was also delicious. My only complaint is the excessive use of styrofoam cups and plastic utensils. Given the pollution we've seen in the oceans and beaches around the Keys, I believe they could help reduce waste and potentially save money by switching to metal utensils and real plates.

It was a bit difficult to locate, but definitely worth the effort. I accidentally ordered the café Cubano with full sugar instead of half, so now I'm left with what tastes like hummingbird juice! However, the coffee itself is really good and strong!

This charming little Cuban grocery store offers a delightful selection of items, ranging from pastries and coffee to souvenirs and clothing. We tried the Colada and a few empanadas, which were generously stuffed with beef and chicken—definitely satisfying for just about $2.00 each! Considering their size and filling, they are a fantastic deal. The empanadas are made with a flour base and are fried to perfection. The store also features pasteles, croquetas, and other delicious pastries. For those looking for something heartier, they have sandwiches available as well.

My husband and I just stopped in because we saw that they sell Cuban coffee, we are here visiting from Michigan. This service from the spot is absolutely wonderful, the owner is a very nice lady and the coffee is to die for! I highly recommend everyone to stop there

Really good Café Cubano! Best stop on the Overseas Highway for a really good Cuban traditional caffeine boost! She's got plenty of other munchies and goodies to curb your hunger while driving on the water! A must stop whether heading north or south. Oh, did I mention she's got a great personality to boot!? The little Lady is Big on customer service!
