Jardin Maya - Isla Mujeres

The owners father told us us of this restaurant and he was so right, Jardin Maya is wonderful. His father has operated Miguels Moonlite around the corner for many years and the transfer of excellence has worked. Two things down here are always an indicator of excellent food and those are the guacamole and margaritas offered, both here are very good. The food and servings are fantastic.

I recently visited Isla Mujeres with friends over New Years for a bachelorette party. Jardin Maya was open during the New Years celebration at the city center and offered my friends and I excellent, fast service (and access to their bathrooms!! . They were friendly and made conversation with us in English and Spanish. They did a great job quickly mixing a variety of drinks for the 9 of us during what seemed to be one of the busiest nights of the year. We even came back the next day to visit with the waiters/bartenders and have a few drinks. They welcomed us with free shots of tequila, chips and continued their habit of providing great service to my friends and me. The drinks were delicious and it was a great atmosphere for laid back fun. I only wish we had time to eat here as well. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling to Isla Mujeres! It seemed like a great place to eat but proved to be an even better place for a nice end of the night beverage as well!

This place was out of business more than a year ago. It had charm and the waiters were great. The food was good, but it was Mayan food and Mayan food is not that flavorful so the customers did not come

This restaurant was outstanding! There were 6 of us at dinner, and everyone's meal was fantastic. Fresh, authentic, and delicious! We would highly recommend stopping in. The owner/waiter was very helpful and friendly, as well!

We had a great and authentic dinner of queso relleno and panuchos . Sadly there are just a few good restaurants in the island, and this is an excellent one. Very casual and inexpensive!
