Excelente lugar después de dar un paseo por la isla para comer buena comida cubana, en especial la torta cubana, por cierto no aceptan pago con tarjetas de ningún tipo

We went with a group of 10 people. It start of great and we have been to this restaurant before and had no issues. We all ordered 2 drinks each. Nothing complicated, mostly beer. We also ordered two appetizers. Our bill came to 2200 pesos. 1/2 of our group left and the other half stayed to finish their drinks. The bill was paid prior to anyone leaving. We left a 15% tip, since we only had drinks and two appies. We left $350.00 peso tip. When the second half of the group came back to our hotel, they told us that the waiter said we didn't leave enough money for the tip and demanded that the group leave more money. they ended up paying another $200.00 pesos. It was a horrible experience. We will not be back and have definitely spread the word. It was a really uncomfortable situation, but best to pay the tip and not return. We are also regular travellers to Isla Mujeres.

Not particularly easy to find in fact we almost didn’t notice the very faded sign at all. On driving in, we thought we’d made a mistake, but when you finally get in to the restaurant, you realise that the setting on the river is fabulous, with loads of passing boats to spot.Efficient service. I had a Cuban pork dish, and Mrs had a Cuban chicken dish. The pork was quite chewy but it was ok. We had a beer each and the bill with tip included was 650mxn. Cheap.
