Barlito - Isla Mujeres

Barlitos is a definitely a must stop when we come to Isla. We decided to bring first timers to Barlitos with us. Tonight, the food was not that good at all. Three of us ordered sandwiches and there was way too much bread and not enough meat. The bread was not fresh which in turn ruined the sandwiches too. The beers were not that cold. The prices are pretty expensive for the quality and quantity of food that was given. The service was great! A big disappointment for our first time guests.

The bar staff, specifically Eddie, were fantastic! They were attentive to our needs and very friendly. We visited more than once!

Great atmosphere and a great location right a Marina Paraiso Hotel. Lovely area under the trees where you can have friends meet you for drinks and snacks and meals.

Barlitos is always a go to for the family. We started eating there when they were on Hildago and have followed them to Marina Paraiso where the level of quality has continued and now includes a dinner menu. My biggest complaint is the size of the panini! They are absolutely huge and easily can feed two people. The next issue is you can split one but the choices all look so good that it is hard for two people to agree on which one to split!!! My husband and sons are big eaters and they have a tough time finishing one. They have added some new sandwiches since last summer and you now can have a sub or a panini featuring Tiffany's awesome meatballs! I personally think their fish and chips are some of the best on the island and they will not serve them if fresh local fish is not available. They have several pizzas to choose from and the nachos are fabulous. Prices are fair for the amount of food and level of quality!! Did I mention the homemade bread and bagels???? We stop at least twice on each visit because breakfast, lunch and dinner are all so good!

The servers aim to please but the kitchen is slow. We were overwhelmed by mosquitoes so bring your own spray as what they gave us to use did not work. The food was tasty but average.
