Fabulous find while visiting Irving. Casual place with super helpful young lady at register to guide us through the vegan menu. Amazing chutneys and other condiments. We tried all at this self serve bar. We will be back
They have a Vegan menu, ask for it at the register. Saw them on Happy Cow and gave them a try. Food was amazing I ordered from the Vegan menu and my girlfriend ordered from their regular (vegetarian) menu we both loved it!
All my Indian friends have said I need to eat here, so finally I took the plunge. It is 100% vegetarian, but I was a little bit intimidated to ask for vegan food since I have had trouble eating vegan at Indian restaurants before. Online they do have a menu that specifies what dishes can be made vegan, but you still need to specify when you order that you are vegan. My meat-eating husband also likes this place. We would recommend the Chana Masala or Spinach Dal. The coconut chutney is also the best at the chutney bar. $15 for the two of us, and it's a lot of food so come hungry! Also, the location is kid friendly, but the food was a little too spicy for my kids.
The restaurant offers a separate vegan menu, but I had to ask for clarification on each item. I requested my meal to be not spicy, but it turned out to be a strong 9 in terms of spiciness. If you enjoy authentic Indian cuisine, this is the place to go.
