Jj Bakery Cafe - Irvine

We've been coming to this place for years, and I absolutely love it! One of the things I really appreciate is that they frequently update their bread selection, so there's always something new to try. Just last week, I spotted a "Football BTM" — a type of bread that isn’t even listed on their website menu. It was so delightful!

This was my first experience ordering from this bakery, and they did an outstanding job! Normally, I bake the birthday cakes for my family, but since it was my youngest grandson's birthday, we faced a challenge with our air conditioning being out for a few days—so I couldn't use the oven, even for my sweet grandson! The woman I spoke to on the phone was incredibly friendly and offered great suggestions to help me make my choice. We ended up ordering a chocolate cake with a fresh strawberry filling, and it was absolutely delicious! The cake featured a delightful light chocolate whipped cream filling that was perfectly frozen. It was also beautifully decorated. Plus, I was able to pick it up on Labor Day! We will definitely be returning to this bakery!

This Asian-style bakery offers a variety of soft milk breads and delicious filled options such as red bean bread and mochi bread. Although the café is currently closed, you can grab your treats and enjoy them outside. One downside is that each item is individually wrapped in plastic inside the store.

One would deal with salaried employees who are not well managed by owner. Profit is not her core concern, and hence customer 's needs are not neither. And they appear to be under staffed. It was supposed to be open till 9pm but we were unable to find anyone when we arrived by 8:40pm. We went back the next morning to order some birthday cakes, but was told the chef would not have time to write happy birthday on the cakes if we need them by noon time next day because the chef will be off... Oh mine, they don 't have enough staff to cover 7 days a week per their published schedule...

Seriously this place is amazing. The bread is so fresh and delicious. Everything I have had has been awesome! They are very nice also. This place is extremely dangerous for people like myself that love bread and carbs. This is a must try if you are in the area. It is a hidden gem.
