East Coast transplant here. I've been desperately searching for a bagel place in OC that reminds me of home. East Coast Bagel, while not perfect, is better than the competing bagel shops I've tried (Shirley's, Boil and Bake).I got a bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel. The bagel was great! It had just the right amount of chew and the texture was on point. There was a decent amount of bacon and melty cheddar cheese. Sounds good, right? It was save for the egg which was slightly off in texture and was a bit spongey. It was giving microwaved instant eggs and it just kinda threw the whole sandwich off. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, but why not take things up a notch by offering real eggs? I'll come back for the bagels and probably just try to assemble my own egg sandwiches at home.

The best bagels ever! My bf and I would go every weekend when we lived close by. Their croissants are the best

The bagel and lox sandwich here falls short of the best shops in New York, but for the price $9) it's a fantastic alternative. I'd suggest checking this place out.
