I am good and really filled!! Gluten-free menu without asking and options were good. Obviously my whole reason was to go fish and chips and I wasn't disappointed! Was even able to get bread and butter, owner was concerned bread was not on standard, but assured him to apologize for gluten-free bread always for himself and anaemic lol. The staff was nice and friendly and the environment was comfortable left with my food baby and a smile!
Never get fish and chips from anywhere else, great food and massive piece of fish for the price you pay. The cot and chips for £4.50 with a drink were the same size as a medium-heavy fish you would get from a center chip store. It's all good in the ox!
Visit Felixstowe for a few days decided we would try the local fish and chips. We wanted to eat in a restaurant instead of taking away, so we thought we would try. Options on fish include squid and rockets. We had three options on the size of the fish. I chose the big rockeel and my partner had a little squid. Everyone came with chips and an option from pages. I have to say that the food was nice that, in our opinion, the fish was cooked for perfection. Would definitely recommend. The service was also very good and clear, this was a popular restaurant that was about how busy it was. Would also suggest booking a table in advance in view of popularity. Think if we went back to visit, I would choose a smaller size of fish, although that was a bit of a fight.
TL;DR: Excellent. Called in a couple of hours prior to check if they did gluten-free batter (hint: they do, or I wouldn't have much to say), and they're as lovely on the phone as they are in the restaurant. Ordered the medium GF cod (pictured), everyone else had regular batter on rock eel and plaice and it was all amazing, I almost couldn't tell the difference and my gut approves too. GF vinegar was a massive plus. Finally being able to dine out with my family without settling for a salad was a real treat. Also FODMAP-friendly for anyone wondering. I'll be back next time I'm in England for sure!
