Papa Giorgio's is not the worst one, but it is the most expensive.Keep in mind I've only been there once, and quality can certainly vary from one order to the next. For me, the crust was tough and bland, though it did flop a bit when I picked up a slice--a hallmark of good NY style pizza. Toppings were plentiful (I got spinach and mushrooms , but they weren't cooked properly. The mushrooms were dry, bland, and unseasoned, as if they'd been thrown onto the pizza raw. A quick saute does wonders. The sauce had a nice tang, but there wasn't enough of it. Same goes for the cheese. The whole pie was just dry. I'm willing to chalk some of this up to the delivery (it was a bit delayed but anyone who has eaten good NY pizza knows that it should still be tasty, chewy, and moist when cold or at room temp. There's nothing like waking up in the morning to realize you left your half-eaten pizza on the coffee table all night. No reheating necessary. Truly the breakfast of champions.Still, I'll probably order again to try their pasta. They are one of the few places in Columbus with vodka sauce on the menu. They also drew a smiley face on the box, so I award points for cuteness. :
I ordered their pizza and it was decent, a bit pricey for size and quality. When I called my conversation with a person was basically them telling me they're in an affluent neighborhood so there's no sense in people from my side of town or neighborhood coming to get pizza from them anyways. I'll be ordering at the locations from now on.
This is the best affordable pizza I've found in Columbus. It's not perfect, but it's pretty dang good!
This is hands down the best pizza !!! Small business at its best! Friendly staff and great food. Veggie sub was packed full with lots of vegetables. Pizza is east coast real deal ! Highly recommend !!!
Generally very good pizza, but due to delivery errors, arrived stone cold (again). During the online order, I was offered the ability to have the pizza dropped off on my front porch. I declined. They left it on my front porch anyway. It's freezing outside. Nobody texted or called to say it had arrived and nobody rang the doorbell. Nothing. Cold pizza. So, I had to preheat my oven and cook the pizza... and 20 minutes later I sat down to eat a pizza I spent $31 on that arrived cold. Unacceptable. This is not the first time this has happened. I give up.
