No complaints with respect to the cashiers/helpers or the scenery at all.Unfortunately they have started charging for entrance, but only to the actual 'orchard ' that contains the trees so, charging money for the privilege of paying more money for apples. There is little indication given on the website, and that 's the main reason I 'm writing this so that people can find out easier. Online the $5 charge is briefly mentioned in plain text on an event page several clicks in if you already know about it you can perhaps find it after the fact.I read the replies from the company on other reviews. I get that many other spots charge, and you have a right to do something about waste/shrink and remain profitable. There 's distinctions to make though and people do have a point that isn 't addressed. Those other competitors that charge money for admission clearly state it on the home page, and they have various things or activities that are included in the price. The fee only area here only (as far as I know) contains what we already pay you to do.. picking apples. I get it if prices need to go up, I 'm saying the execution of it is just strange.Don 't get me wrong, the site itself is nice and I liked my visit last year I got a basket of delicious apples then but the above is why people feel the need to leave a review to inform others. I 'll just stick to another orchard that will only charge me once to pick my apples.Needing to increase prices right now is completely understood and I wouldn 't be put off by that it 's this weird execution that leaves behind a sour taste.
Great place to visit. You pick apples and berries. Really nice. Great for families.
Don’t waste your time coming here for a field trip. We were told we were not allowed to cross the bridge, play at the park, look at apple trees or take a picture with the sign. If we wanted to do any of those things we needed to pay an additional $5 per student, in addition to the $5 per student we already paid for. The field trip only includes a tractor ride, an already picked apple (we used to get to taste test at least 3 different flavors of apples), and the educational aspect was a story. Incredibly disappointed, as we’ve been coming here for 9 years. This is the first year these “new admission rules” have been in place and it’ll be our last.
Been here many times over the years. Always thought it was fun and our kids loved it growing up. Now, they charge to go walk in the orchard. $5 to walk. $8 if you want to ride the tractor! I can think of quite a few ways to expand rather than charge like that. Seems like they just are about the money now. Disappointing.
Went for family fun Friday night. When we got there, there wasn’t a lot of signage or explanation that you had to get a ticket before riding the tractor. We got our tickets for the tractor then had to go inside the market to buy our apple picking bag, then back outside only to have missed the truck ride. We were disappointed there wasn’t a tractor ride, but a truck ride this year. We had fun picking apples at dark, but were very disappointed they were out of apple cider
