Molly's Cupcakes Iowa City

Been here a few times. Pretty tasty confections with gluten free, soy free, and vegan options. I ordered a gender reveal cake several months ago and was overall pleased with the result. This time around, I ordered a vanilla sliced cupcake with vanilla ice-cream filling. For a dessert shop, their confections are decent but the fact that they offer dietary-restricted options that most other places don't is a extreme benefit to someone such as myself. Keep in mind, their allergen friendly options are limited but worth going for.

Everytime I get a craving for a treat I visit Molly 's cupcakes! The 'I do ' flavor is my personal favorite. We had Molly 's make our wedding cake/cupcakes, over the top good! The best cake we ever tasted, moist and amazing! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Have Julia take your order, or decorate a cupcake for you...she is the best!

Molly's is the best ever! My personal favorite is the Ron Bennington, which is a chocolate cupcake filled with peanut butter. It's to die for! All their cupcakes are delicious though.

It's no wonder Molly's Cupcakes won the very first season of Cupcake Wars... their cupcakes are to die for. The original location in Iowa City is a cute little shop right across from the Old Iowa Capitol building. Literally, every flavor of cupcake behind the refrigerated case is delicious. It's just a matter of what you want to eat. If none of the options suits your fancy, there's always the ability to create your own on the spot! Price is very reasonable and the staff is extremely nice and helpful.

Creme brulee, chocolate decadence and muddy buddy. Best cupcakes I've ever eaten. Sooo good. Chocolate decadence had a creamy chocolate filling that reminded me of a truffle and hot coco.
