My wife and I spent an hour and half an axis, enjoy some drinks and a great time. I would have thought that with a large group could have been to the detriment of the fun factor through longer times between spins, but it really seemed that the larger groups had a ton of fun. We definitely come back and bring friends and family!
I was here a few times and it's always an explosion, but the main reason I wanted to leave a review is because the stemless wine glass I got as a birthday party souvenir recently broken and Jake went out his way to deliver the replacement I ordered. I really appreciated it and I am happy to come back to Hatchet Jack's!
73. My father's birthday visited our family group of 6 Hatchet Jack on a Sunday afternoon. I can honestly say (not a paid robot XD! that our experience there too probably contributed to the best birthday experience for my father at least in my life of birthday memories (30 a few years lolz This sentence may seem as much to some now, but for me able to say that brings tears of joy to my eyes: my dad smiled... He was happy and had lawfully the time of his life. It has already been decided, and this is our new birthday tradition too bad, will be our next for November; not sure we want to wait so long! But I could go on and on over the wonderful and SAFE environment, how clean, ordered and organized it was, the beautiful little arcade my little nephew could play in... but customer service was by far top notch. God bless the wonderful lady who helped us this day, I feel terrible I cannot remember her name (not personally / I just forgot younger, beautiful brunette w/ curls, which I could never reach in my dreams, pleasant sassy, but the most real kindness that is a rarity to find in everyone, let alone customer service. She took the time to show us how it works, they all rules, security and technical stuff. But also with each one of us individually on our two designated lanes(? everyone helps us find out what our own techniques are. Except Dad. Because he has been throwing trees out of the forest for 5 years, in 5 feet of snow, under zero, uphill, in this other depression, an apple from a sibling's head blinded. Shhh Dad even took pointers from the pretty young lady And for us girls there this lady was so sweet and (at least with me as they somehow just know that I am this kind of person who needs a positive reinforcement in certain situations... and she was this encouragement for me. Even more. She really influenced my self-respect. At this moment during learning this new trick, but also in a friendly, sisteric way that she had no idea that secretly I really, really needed only in general at this point in my life. So I hope this doesn't get creepy, but God bless this woman. For real: You never know when someone only needs a kindness and she was the epitome of him I could really go on lol just so many cool aspects in this place that I had no idea existed. We even have a few free firewood after we left from an old target they had to replace! Double victory for Dad's birthday! And a last big bullet point for me personally: a single reason why I've never been was that I was always under the impression that this place was also marketed as a big bar hanger? Don't ask me about Persay, but this is how it was associated in my brain. I come to 5 years Sobriety so obviously Bars arent really my bag you know? But if it hadn't been decided for Dad's birthday trip, I probably wouldn't have gone...yes there is a bar (maybe)? Lol see, it was so NOT a bar environment I don't even know where the bar was there lmao and at least you can drink. But like any other place: you have to do it! but really it was NOT a bar atmosphere to my pleasant surprise, so if you 're like me and looking for a funny SOBER activity too, Hatchet Jack 's is the place for you! (I think I just made a deal? We will be in touch
Hatchet throw on a wood target (with advice available on form on request. What a funny place! We traveled from Iowa Irish Festival in Waterloo Iowa to Philadelphia. We made sure we stopped in Iowa City at Hatchet Jack's. I just threw falcons in the backyard of a friend back in San Diego. He floated a huge wooden plate, a cross-section of a tree, in his backyard. He tried to teach me how to throw Mahawks while NOT managing to destroy his fence right behind the target. But Hatchet Jack was a chance to get into the fight cage. The guys from Hatchet Jack told me that, as I practiced, I would develop a rhythm and my goal would improve. You were absolutely right. I am confident that one day I will meet the goal! LOL. Thanks for the opportunity to have a fun afternoon and a cool refreshing adult drink. Maybe next year, when I come back to the Iowa Irish Festival, I will make it to Iowa City and meet this goal dead center. Edit: The owner was right! I forgot to mention how funny it was. I hope I clarified things for the record.
This place is really well maintained. The staff are super helpful and gives great advice. Totally worth the cost.
