Atrium Dining Room - Iowa City

The sandwich station features a juicy chicken sandwich and a customizable burger every day, as well as what is arguably one of the best BLTs I've ever tasted. You can also choose from a variety of sides, including fries, sweet potato fries, and cheddar nuggets. The entree station offers restaurant-quality main dishes, with chicken marsala being my personal favorite, alongside rotating homemade soups and vegetable sides. Last but not least, the staff are fantastic! They are efficient and friendly, which is truly appreciated in a sometimes somber place like a hospital. The Atrium also has a pleasant dining area with table service, so if you find yourself at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, make sure to check out this delightful café.

Summary: This cafeteria is the best option in the hospital, offering great food compared to other nearby restaurants. Plus, the coffee is free! I usually order the half-pound Angus burger, and I highly recommend the salad bar and their delicious croutons. They also feature seasonal menu items that change regularly. Remember to grab a to-go cup or a pot of coffee while dining in, and don't miss the fantastic outdoor seating in the summer.

I had an Angus burger and Sweet potato fries. They offered a nice salad bar also. The burger was great.
