Buren Wirt - Innsbruck

We stayed a week in Innsbruck and visited this facility twice! Amazing food and service! Surely the effort to get there is worth it! Great portions, excellent value and a truly unforgettable experience! Away from the tourist route but authentic and a real treat! Maria took care of us so well, excellent recommendations! Do not miss this great experience!!

This can be your place if you are looking for traditional dishes of Tyrolean cuisine served in an authentic Austrian pub. Food was good and service was nice, but really slow. It is a strange and quiet place where you could hardly find tourists. Smoking is allowed in one of their rooms that disturb when the pub is really crowded.

Our Airbnb host recommended this place as he was near where we stayed. This was definitely the highlight of our trip and I'm just disappointed that we haven't gone earlier during our trip! The service there was very friendly and they were very accommodating as we did not speak much German and offered us a translated English menu. They were so beautiful and helpful when they try to choose food and drinks. The dishes are massive and delicious. Very recommended!!

We really liked the restaurant - mainly locals visiting, super friendly staff, timely service. We came back in the end of our trip - and it was again great. Pork shank and ribs, schnitzel with pumpkin seeds, great choice of fruit schnapps.

The first thing to say is to book a non-smoking room or risk being choked by blue clouds! Once that is achieved, you will find lovely and copious food. The Steierische schnitzel and cordon blue approaches masterpiece level with crunchy roasted pumpkin seeds. There are guest beers as well as the usuals. Due to the size of the portions its a one course experience unless you have a huge appetite but that's not uncommon with Austrian food! Well worth the walk up the hill!
