Then had to go to bar and order our own drinks. Bar tender refused to serve us without payment even though we had a table. This is a wonderful atmosphere of a pub/restaurant, but the lack of respect towards a weary travler is terrible. It took another 40 mins to get our orders and by then it was a gut punch when we got back to house and food was wrong. I went back to bar to fix my double long Island ice tea twice. Management was not available for the entire hr we sat and waited. Sadly this was the 2nd time we had the exact experience. We wanted to eat there but the service was just terrible causing us to run out of time and had to leave. Hope others that were local can appreciate the service as we watched a flury of staff helping their regulars while zero attention was given to a couple of hungry thirsty and worn out travelers.
Had the Thai burger with peanut sauce and fries, was ask how I wanted it, I said pink in the middle, it came “over cooked”and no Thai/peanut sauce favor at all.. it was a well done burger on slaw……. I had this same dish months earlier here, it was cooked right and had a fabulous favor, this burger was not ever close…. But we had a great server that took excellent care of us, it was the food that sucked!
Can’t believe the title of my review? You gotta try ‘em! Insanely delicious. My burger was very good, and the service was friendly and professional. Fun place to dine outside. We are returnees, and will always visit when we are in town.
We made a big mistake by ordering the fish tacos, which were completely tasteless. Our party of four included three who ordered the fish tacos, and one who went with the fish and chips, which were decent. All three of us noted how disappointing the fish tacos were, especially compared to the local Rubio's Fish Tacos, which we found to be at least ten times better. Perhaps other items on the menu are better, but our first experience here was not a good one. Additionally, there was no happy hour food menu available, despite what their website advertised. On a positive note, the atmosphere, decor, and ambiance were fantastic. They just need to improve the food. Also, it's worth mentioning that our server never asked us how the food was or if we enjoyed our meals.
We were looking for a place to take our friends for happy hour and decided to visit Big Rock Pub. The decor, featuring guitars and music industry memorabilia, makes for a fascinating atmosphere. However, the service was quite slow. I ordered a glass of wine, which took 20 minutes to arrive. We also ordered burgers, and despite requesting mine to be cooked medium, it ended up being overcooked. After a 45-minute wait, the burgers arrived, and we all agreed they were just mediocre at best.
