The Groggy Dog - Indianola

This restaurant has declined in quality. The food arrived quickly, but it was bland and I ended up getting food poisoning. I will not be returning to this place.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our experience. We arrived at around 7:30 on a Friday night and found an empty booth to sit in. Despite being seated, we were never greeted by the waitress even after she passed by us multiple times without making eye contact or saying a single word. It appeared that the restaurant was not busy, with only three other tables occupied by customers at different stages of their meals. Even the bartender did not acknowledge us. After waiting at our table for at least 10 minutes, we felt invisible and ultimately decided to leave. Surprisingly, no one said anything as we walked out.

The service was excellent, with the chef personally coming out to discuss beer choices and prime rib options with us twice. Our server was fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed one of the best prime rib dinners of my life, while my wife loved her delicious Guinness beef stew. We are eagerly looking forward to our next visit.

Food is always great. Best burger and salad in town! Definitely worth a stop in.
