Tlaolli - Indianapolis

Food is fresh here and well though out. Great straight forward vegan options but also a popular spot for meat eaters. Very casual setting

I love tlaolli. I'd eat here every week if I could. the owner is very friendly and the vegan options are extensive. the terrace and atmosphere is very beautiful, they have a beautiful garden and sunshades, the painting inside and outside the building is sweet and quirky. my favorite menu is the hibiscus taco, but I never had anything here I didn't like. also the chocolate cake of monica is vegan and so decadent. Always check their facebook before they go to make sure they are not closed. sometimes they are open for Sunday brunch and sometimes not. park them in the library parking next door, lock their car.

There are places in Mexico that have topped this for me, but I haven't had a vegan taco (mole in particular that was this tasty in the US. Indianapolis is lucky to have a place like this! I tried the jackfruit, mole, and hibiscus taco, and of the three I'd say the mole was the best and the jackfruit did the least for me (I'm half convinced jackfruit-as-meat-substitute is a trend that should and will die, and I haven't yet had the jackfruit that convinced me otherwise Located in a colorful complex off a busy road, this place is cheerful, bright, and fast. I love going here when I can. Im not that close but its so worth it. The hibiscus tacos were new for me but very good I was impressed. There are a decent amount of vegan options and even vegan dessert sometimes. Call ahead of time to verify if on the menu. Its a great place to go if you have friends or family who aren't vegan.

They offer some unique takes on vegan tacos with a tofu mole and Hibiscus option. They also have other items that are vegan like a soups/stews, tamales, and a chocolate cake that was so good!
