For mains, we got the eggplant stir fry and the drunken noodles, and they were both great. The service is simple, friendly, and efficient. I live in Bloomington but if I'm in the Indy area I will go out of my way to eat here.
Visited for the first time for a solo dinner. Ordered Thai fried rice with chicken. Flavor was minimal, dish was oily and the small amount of chicken included was almost comical.
Came with a friend and our daughters, both 15 years old. We loved every bite. Started with Thai tea, Sian rolls, spring rolls, and chicken satay. All great. Then had Pad Thai and Sian Ginger stir fry. Finished with Roti rolls and mango with sticky rice. You can’t go wrong! Yum. We will be back.
Hoped to treat myself to yummy carryout after hosting holiday festivities, and Siam Square in Fountain Square has always been enjoyable. But this experience was a huge disappointment, and it seems important to alert others that this place may be missing deliveries of ingredients or training a new kitchen staff. I ordered curry puffs, green curry with tofu, and kids veggie fried rice. The tofu in the curry was cold and totally unseasoned, and not a single vegetable was in the fried rice. Flavor in the curry puffs was on point, and they were crispy and well-prepared. The green curry was fine after I picked out the cold tofu cubes but it did not contain green beans as expected. The container was only half full, and taste was far below expectations. The $8 serving of kids fried rice was a decent base for the vegetables I ended up steaming at home and mixing in it. Overall this carryout was kinda sad, certainly not worth its $35 cost. I doubt I 'll return to Siam Square, especially with Bodhi and other great options nearby.
This is not great Thai food. And the manager has been sued twice for stealing his employees tips i.e. stealing from customers who thought they were tipping the wait staff. IF you want good Thai food served by good people I recommend Thai Recipes on the near south side. I have no affiliated, it's just bomb Thai.
