Provider Coffee Cocktail Lounge

We planned to spend our Saturday brunching here around 2 PM and working/studying until 8 PM. How did it go? The place was packed, so if you're in a large group, you might have trouble finding seats. It wasn't as cozy as we had hoped. The coffee was decent, and the pastries were good. However, the food options were very limited and the dishes quite simple, especially considering the prices—everything felt overpriced (one basic pastry cost $6.60). To make matters worse, they were moving large equipment for an event, likely a wedding on the second floor, and we were asked to leave by 4:30 PM because of it. I probably won't be returning.

I had a fantastic first visit, and I definitely plan to return. I noticed others working and studying, but it was a bit too noisy for me to focus on my own. However, it was ideal for our group of three to brainstorm together. By the way, the sea salt mocha was absolutely delicious!

As a native of Indianapolis, I consider this coffee shop to be one of my favorites in the city! A friend from high school introduced me to this spot, and I've been a fan ever since. While the prices here aren't the absolute lowest, if you’re a local coffee enthusiast, you’ll find that Provider’s rates are reasonable given the quality of the coffee and food, the expert baristas, and the wonderful atmosphere of the shop. If you're 21 or older, be sure to stick around to explore Provider's after-hours cocktail menu as well! They offer excellent choices and a great vibe for a pleasant evening drink.

We decided to try this restaurant since it was directly across from our Airbnb. It has a very upscale and trendy vibe, perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee or breakfast. At night, it transforms into a lounge/bar; I even noticed a whiskey still inside. It’s a nice place to relax and get some work done, but be prepared to spend a bit more for a premium coffee experience. My husband ordered the ginger latte, which I actually enjoyed more than he did. I expected my matcha latte to include all the elements of a ginger latte, but it turned out to be just a regular matcha latte—still tasty, though. The ham and cheese croissant was a little disappointing as it didn’t seem very fresh out of the oven, especially for 8:30 AM. However, the bacon and sausage egg bagels were good. Overall, while the food was enjoyable, it didn't quite justify the price. The atmosphere was fantastic, and we appreciated that people were kind to us as we had our baby with us (thankfully, she wasn’t too fussy, haha).

Moreover, the staff tends to be unfriendly and cold; the standoffish atmosphere is palpable throughout the shop, as no one seems happy (likely because they just saw the bill). The cramped space adds to the discomfort. While the location is convenient, my wife and I would much prefer to walk an extra four blocks if it means being greeted with a smile.
