Amazing entrees, appetizers, and drinks. Service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was so warm and relaxing. I'd definitely love to come here again someday! Prices honestly weren't too bad either. Comparable to Bella Notte in Lexington, KY. The portions are huge, especially for the desserts. I order tiramisu at every restaurant that carries it, and this place delivered, so delicious! The canolis were massive and wonderful as well.
Took my two little girls (5 and 3) out for a dressy dinner tonight. The food and atmosphere were excellent, but it was Tiffany's sweet service that put it over the top. She spoke directly to them, and happily took care of all their requests. It was a delicious and very fun night out!
We went tonight for our anniversary. The mean was amazing. The appetizer I forget what it was called but it was a special said something about licking your plate. It was incredible. I had a dish with short ribs my wife chicken piccata both incredible. My wife had lemon cheese cake for dessert. One of the best cheesecakes either of us has ever had. I had tiramisu it was meh. The only remotely bad thing I can say is the server sort of pushed us through. We were half done with app and the soup can and the entree very quickly after that. And she brought the bill with dessert. Not a big deal but a fairly expensive meal shouldn’t deal rushed.
I went in thinking we were going to be served some authentic Italian Food. That may have been my first mistake. The restaurant itself, was nice and cozy.We were greeted nicely and seated within seconds after entering. The bartender/waitress brought us waters and took our drink orders. This is where things started going bad, for me. We ordered Old Fashions. When the drinks arrived, I noticed they were made with crushed/chipped ice. I'm sure every good bartender knows an Old Fashion is ALWAYS made with one large cube or sphere of ice. Instead of making a scene and against what I would have normally done, which is return it, we just drank them and ordered something else. Our appetizers were really good. We proceeded to order our main meal. During all this time, we never received any table bread, not even when our food came out. It's pretty hard to believe that bread of any kind wasn't offered in a Italian restaurant, until we noticed couples around us were getting bread shortly they were seated and got their drinks and appetizers. To top everything off, I ordered a dish that came with Gnocchi. I love Gnocchi. Much to my surprise and disappointment, the Gnocchi was definitely store brought off the shelf. A $20+ dish served with $3 ingredients. Eventhough the food was pretty good, I don't think we will waste another date night by dining there again. I'm not writing this to bash Amore's, but if they don't know what's wrong, how can they fix it?
