Ryer Lobsters - INDIAN HARBOUR

Cute spot to pick up fresh seafood, lobsters, mussels, clams etc. Was actually really cool to buy from them and watch them package them up and such. The man working was super nice and chatted with us about all things lobster!

We sent live lobsters to Montreal from Peggy's Cove, NS with a guarantee they would stay alive in their shipping container for full days. We picked them up on the third day and yes, the were all alive. Cooked them to perfection...best souvenir...of our holiday! They ship all over the world.

This place is so great. Lovely seafood for purchase and the family is wonderful. The gentleman is hilarious! So educational and a real treasure. The government doesn't allow them to cook for you but you can buy and take home etc. You have to stop...here. It's worth the chat. This man is a true entertainer in every sense of the word.

IN this business was found to be violating provincial permits by selloing cooked lobster and allowing clients to eat the lobster on site (they did not have adequate facilities to be open as a restaurant). We stopped in on Septemeber and were...told by the staff at the counter that we could buy live lobster and other fresh seafood, but we could not eat it at the location. Prices seemed fair for the goods. If we would of had the proper gear to prepare the lobster ourselves, we would have bought some. The staff provided some good info about local things to do and see.
