The first time my husband and I went in there, they were just opening the shop. We bought a bottle of a coffee liquor. what a wonderful product. Now I see they have beer on tap.. we will have to go back and check it out. Great place with a great view of our mountains in Index.
Funding a brewery in the middle of nowhere? You are definitely in the Pacific Northwest. While the choice is limited, all of their beers are very good. Their treated us with free blubbery shortcakes (yum) and we enjoyed some nice seating in a backyard. FYI entrance is at the back from parking lot. Go right and turn
Stopped at this little brewery and distillery in Index and tried their sour beer, alderwood smoked ice, and their gin, vodka, and coffee liquor. What an cute and quaint stop we had a great time with the bartender Lorraine! The gin is AWESOME and very small batch they make it in a tiny room (photo attached) and has a ton of botanicals and flavor! Love this place! We will return for their Sunday Soup day!! So cute!
Great people and beautiful family business! My friends and I were desperate to buy a parking day pass for Snoqualmine Forest but hadn't been able to pay for it since we didn't have any cash on us. We walked about a mile up the road from the crowded lot where we had managed to find a tight parking space that we didn't want to risk giving up, and luckily we found this place. Lorraine, one of the business owners, kindly offered to drive me several miles into the nearby town to purchase a parking permit. When the cashier told me that he only accepted cash, Lorraine offered to pay the $5 cash for me, saving me the possibility of racking up a $100 parking fine! She had no reason to do this other than out of the good of her heart, and I'm sure grateful to her for saving me from my dumb millennial mistake of not carrying cash. On the drive, Lorraine told me about the complimentary soup she makes every Sunday for guests at the brewery. They sure sound delicious, and I would love to stop by as a guest myself well, when I'm of age next year. But for now, I do know that the brewery is a friendly and welcoming place to be, what with the wonderful family who owns it.
