Up Dog - Independence

We decided to avoid the long waits for Valentine's Day by visiting Up Dog instead. The staff at the counter greeted us with genuine enthusiasm, even though we were dressed for a more upscale setting. They were attentive and offered great suggestions from the extensive menu as they processed our order. By the time we selected our drinks (Polly's Pop), our hot and fresh 'dogs were already on the table. Everything was delightful, making for an ideal Valentine's Day dinner that felt intimate, romantic, and truly memorable. We might just have to make this a new tradition!

Charming little retro diner! I had the breakfast dog, and it was delicious. The onion rings were amazing too—plenty for both of us to share.
