My family has been a long-time fan of Skillets, ever since they were just a small spot on the main road of BF Resort Village. After closing down, they recently reopened as a full-fledged restaurant and events venue. My parents, who know the owner, have always wanted to bring us there for a meal. And I'm glad we did, because the food was amazing. My mom couldn't stop talking about their Boneless Chicken In Mushroom Sauce, and she was right - it was delicious. The chicken was tender, but the real star was the creamy white sauce on top of it. The Steak ala Pobre was a bit too chewy for my liking (we should have asked for it medium well instead of well done), but the grilled steak itself was juicy and flavorful. The best part? The bill came out to just 1,800 pesos for a dinner for eight people. And no, we didn't get any discounts for knowing the owner - the prices were really affordable. I can see many more family gatherings happening at Skillets in the future.
