We arrived at lunchtime on the 14th July 2022 (French Bank Holiday) and we found the restaurant exactly as we expected: Very pretty garden Picnic tables with parasols Home cooked crêpes and galettes Great beer and cider in plastic cups! Remember this is the only restaurant on the northern island. All the rest are in the Bourg on the southern island. I had the galette complete (egg, ham and cheese) and 2 glasses of Breton beer and my wife had 2 Camembert galettes and a cider. Everything was very nice. The galettes were served without cutlery, but on a china plate and wrapped to be eaten with your hands. You can sit in a picnic table in the pretty garden and they will call your name when the food's ready.
If you visit the northern island, don't forget to stop here. Two ladies are baking the crepes with different flavors and you can eat them in the garden. Prices are cheap. Life can be simple and beautiful.
Ignore the maps handed out by the tourist office. This buvette is not beside the Phare du Paon. It's 650m to the south west. The fayre is simple: galettes and crepes, prepared in a kiosk. But the garden setting is delightful and the prices are much lower than in the Bourg. It's a shame they don't serve salads.
