Higher Grounds Coffee House - Idyllwild

It's way better since coming under new ownership. Anybody who says otherwise is wrong and should not be taken seriously. The coffee is better. The baked goods are better. 5/5 stars. The gluten free donuts they have on the weekend are phenomenal. People with gluten intolerance have something here, now. Well done.

It is a very unique place, I love the atmosphere, I love the fact that it is privately owned. But as a coffee Enthusiast I was not super impressed with my latte. The coffee cake was very good. A little different that I'm used to but I would definitely get that again. Since they are a private and locally owned business I will go back and give them a second chance. Depending on your individual taste I would highly recommend this coffee house.

I ordered a banana mocha blended drink. It tasted like Folgers with a hint of banana. Definitely do not recommend. Their iced latte wasn’t any better. To top it off their banana bread was not good. Coffee is not good here, sadly. Kuddos for having a changing table in the restroom and the couches to sit on. The staff was not friendly, mainly teenagers on their phones and chatting with each other. Try Alpaca coffee instead, for good coffee.

My husband and I enjoyed a chai latte here multiple times on our visit to Idyllwild. Atmosphere is friendly and inviting. Comfy seating inside, clean bathroom and outdoor seating available.

Great place for coffee, smoothies, blended drinks and freshly prepared pastries and snacks.
