The waiter told me there were no nuts or peanuts in the dishes I had ordered (Italian salad, fish) and when the food arrived, I checked twice, and they had cooked all fish with peanut oil and there were pine nuts in the salad!!! At that time I had already eaten the bread and sauce beside the fish in peanut oil. The waiter DENIED was informed about my allergy. Unbelievable. Then, when we got the bill, I politely asked about a « act of apology » on her side (e.g. discount). What happened here was terrible: The boss (who also seems to be the manager of the restaurant) came out of the kitchen and began screaming at me, told me that he had already done enough by cooking in olive oil. Very unpleasant. I'm still shocked after this experience. Avoid this place when you have food allergies...
Location is Paradise: a tiny unpretentious port in Port Cros, where the ground is still made from beaten earth. The staff is friendly and fresh sea products are available. We were disappointed with the cooking of the fish, which was a bit dry and the deserts. They offered us homemade Limoncello, but I didn't like it.
Wonderful location on this beautiful island. The food is incredibly good homemade and fresh. The delicious grilled fish came with ratatouille, potatoes, seaweed and onions. Our waitress was very friendly. (And everything came to a very reasonable price!
A very run of the mill establishment that takes its custom from the boating fraternity who stay at the not inexpensive mooring facilities and also the numerous tourists on day trips to the island. Having visited here last year I had expected there to be at least an improvement in the general standard of this restaurant but was not surprised to find that little has changed. The evening meal was uninspiring and the wine vastly overpriced, the limp service barely keeping up with a surprising amount of unsuspecting clients. I won 't be visiting again despite the old adage 'third time lucky ', my money will find other tills to fill ..... mediocre meals and overpriced wine are an unnecessary experience albeit common along the coast. Choose instead the unassuming pizza place nearby or the acceptably upmarket (plus increased prices) restaurant next door, at least you won 't feel depressed because you 've made an error of judgement.
We have been there over eastern best grilled St. Pierre I've had. Sitting and eating at this restaurant let you feel like somewhere in the Carribean Sea apart from the crowd. Not 5 stars because of the service which is a bit slow.
