Fantastic sea view in an idyllic scenery ! We went there for lunch and had a bunch of cocktails, plates to share and dessert. We ended up with €80 for two. Everything was of good quality and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were not lucky enough to have a table at the edge of the terrasse (you should book in advance) and were sitting next to the toilets / storage room... from which an uncomfortable smell was coming. Apart from that I will definitely come back but booking in advance a better placed table.
Plage d'argent is arguable the nicest beach on the island. It can become very full, but hey pick an off season period or early/late time of the day. The resaurant is right on the beach and require a reservation upfront. It has a fantastic view of the sea and a big nice terrasse. We had the local white wine (very good a bit similar to a sancerre bit rounder) and the mi-cuit tuna / st. Jacques, all very good everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Coupled with the view and a very attentive and good service we had an excellent experience. For dessert we had chocolate mousse and a modern tiramisu with mango sauce, again very good and everyone enjoyed it. All in all very much worth the visit ( ...and yes we are used to eating at good restaurant around the big cities of the world)
Certainly nearly the worst beach on the island - too many people since it is close to the centre. The beach has no shade and is not very attractive. In the middle there is a crappy expensive bar where they play awful music so you can hear it all along the beach. Why the town council doesn't close them down is a mystery.Walk a bit further or get a bike and go to Langoustier
Really wonderful natural beach, shallow and Sandy. Resturant food very good and reasonably priced by south of France standards. Salade de mer and local rose very good. Wait for table and service very French / how do I describe the shrug!
