I feel bad to post as customer service was excellent however something really changed with the food in the last year or so. To start, my wonton soup was not a soup, it was more so a container filled with wontons, noodles, copious amounts of cabbage veg etc with a tiny portion of broth poured over top. Nothing like traditional. Ordered extra dry noodle and both packs were extremely stale. There was little flavour in any of the food and it was very bland. The rice though crunchy was alright id expect more freshness for a $70 order. Chicken veg almond, wasnt terrible but was not great either. Lemon chicken was delicious however it is such a small amount literally barely half a chicken breast. Chop suey was probably the best thing of the several dishes my family ordered Theres so much extras unasked for in every dish to fill in for the missing amounts of what you actually ordered and should be there. For the price the quality and taste is not worth ordering again in my opinion. I will miss this place as it used to be a favourite.
No dining in still but quick and easy to order Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20
Spent many years and lots of money ordering food from Lees, from the old owners to new I was happy to support this restaurant.I recently started noticing that hot food put into styrofoam containers melts into the styrofoam leaving a really bad taste on the food.I had asked to have the food put in the aluminum containers instead because of this and was told it would be a $1 charge per container. This is a small amount of money I know but for a container that cost .10c and the $1000’s of dollars I have spent you would think they would be more accommodating.Because I have to pay extra to not have tainted tasting food I will no longer be spending my money at this restaurant.Seems silly to lose all of that business over a container…. They are not the only Chinese food joint in Fort Erie by far.
Would review the food but they charged our credit card twice then cancelled our order. If an atmosphere of rage trying to get charges reversed with your bank over the holidays is what you’re looking for then Lee’s Xpress is the place to go.
