The menu mainly consists of typical yum cha dishes, but nothing particularly stood out to me. The prices were slightly higher compared to other yum cha restaurants in the area. The dining area is not very spacious and it was quite crowded on a Friday at 11:30, resulting in a 45-minute wait for a table. Overall, it's a decent option for satisfying a yum cha craving.
Despite reading all the bad reviews written about this restaurant, I decided to give it go. The restaurant is located inside Club Central on level 2 in Hurstville. The restaurant open at 10 am and close at 4pm for Yum Cha during the week ends. There were about 10 people signing it at the club entrance. We head to level 2 where the restaurant is located and since we were there at 10.05 am there were plenty of vacant tables. We were seated promptly and the waiter was polite and we ordered the Chinese tea. The tea was served immediately and followed by the first trolley of food. We had "Sui Mai", "Har Gao", "Siew Pao", "Foong Chow" (chicken feet), Steam Spare Ribs, Bamboo Shoots steamed in bean curd wrappers. The restaurant started to get crowed by the time we left our table at 11.15 am and I was happy with the service and especially the food. If your are a member of Club Central you will receive 20% of your bill. My advise is have your breakfast or brunch early between 10 am to about 12 noon. This is a very popular Yum Char restaurant and avoid going during the rush hours.
We were there to celebrate a birthday. Ordered one of their Lobster set dinner which included lobster with noodle, chicken with spring onions and ginger, quail fillet with vegetables and baby spinach with chinese ham cooked in broth. The food is above average (I can't grade it as very good), so it's 3.5. The serving is large enough for 5. The service was good and the waiters were attentive. There is parking in the Club but across the road there are plenty more parking in Westfield and is free from 6 pm.
The customer service was extremely lacking. I ordered a dish that NEVER arrived though we waited for over half an hour and repeatedly asked and reminded the staff. They seemed to favour the regular customers and tendered towards the rather than serve others. I was disappointed and my experience was not enjoyable. I do not recommend going there, at least for the yum cha.
Dim Sum quality is very good compare to other Chinese restaurants around area; place is a bit small if they dont open function room to extend space. Service is ok sometime food gone very quick you have to order it. Price is most expensive in Hurstville (expect $10-20 more than others) but club member get 10% off, if monthly visit it is good place for Yum Cha
