Merriments - Hurst Green

The service and atmosphere are wonderful, and I always enjoy coming here, as it reminds me of the times I spent with my mom and her best friend. It brings back such great memories for me. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the food is not only amazing but also a fantastic value.

The gardens are stunning and impeccably maintained, providing a peaceful atmosphere with plenty to explore. We also enjoyed the Beerrimente full breakfast, which was not only delicious but beautifully presented at the table. I highly recommend visiting this place. I even picked up a few items from the shop, making for a wonderful day overall.

This is a truly delightful place to visit. The Garden Centre is well-stocked, and the selection of gifts and cards is impressive. I enjoyed a cider and carrot cake while sitting outside in a peaceful and charming area. The Merriment Gardens are absolutely stunning; the planning and planting reflect great thought and skill, offering a varied and innovative experience that is a joy to behold. I highly recommend it!

We started by exploring the beautiful gardens, which provided me with a lot of inspiration for my own garden. The paths are flat, making it accessible for my disabled mother to visit. The staff were all very friendly, especially the young man in the stunning orange garden filled with sunflowers, marigolds, and tagetes. He shared some helpful tips about gardening supplies. The café was affordable, and the cream tea we had was delicious. We couldn't resist trying the homemade sausage rolls as well! Of course, we ended up making a few plant purchases—I picked up some seeds and daffodil bulbs. I'm really looking forward to bringing my mother back because I know she'll love it there. On our second visit today, I managed to find some bright yellow chrysanthemums for the cemetery, which had just arrived. They were a fantastic price at £5.99 for a large plant. I also picked up some birthday cards, which were humorously brilliant!
