We ate at Terranova's after they re-opened from the COVID shutdown and overall we enjoyed the meal and the visit. However, we did feel slightly unwelcome by the staff even though we followed all the social distancing rules. In regular times, I sense that our experience would have been different because the staff may have been more at ease. As to the food, the bread and oil were excellent, and the pasta dishes were very good. However, the skinny chicken on a bed of spinach was not good at all. The chicken was overcooked and bland and the sauteed spinach was unseasoned. Also, the waitress forgot to bring salads, and she only refilled half of our party's water glasses. (There was only one other group in the restaurant. Overall, yes, we'd go back and try Terranova's for a second visit, but we will probably wait until enough time has gone by that the staff is comfortable with the new COVID rules and routines.
We’ve lived in Huntsville for about 9 years and have heard from several people how amazing Terranova’s is but just never have made the drive to try it. Well I’m sooo glad we finally did! It’s by far the best Italian meal we’ve ever had! The staff are so friendly. From the start with the bread to the salad we knew we were in for a delicious meal. We had the chicken parmesan and the chicken alfredo...both were outstanding! We also had an Italian Margarita which was really good! Great selection of wine and beer too. Looking forward to many more meals here and trying other menu options. Definitely a family favorite!
Great food, drinks and service. Starter, bread, salad, pasta, Italian margarita all good. Fully enjoyed the experience!
We love Italian food! Based on online reviews and ratings, we went there last night. We ordered garden salads as starters, Lombardi for my husband and Chicken Scaloppine for myself as main entrees. Our waiter seems not new, but treated us unprofessionally. He brought us a loaf of bread and a saucer of dry spices. We have been many Italian and Mediterranean restaurants in America, Italy, Greece and Spain, thus knew he must forget to bring us olive oil for the bread. We had to remind him about it when he passed by to serve others. Another mistake this waiter did was to bring our salads after the arrival of our main entrees. My chicken scaloppine was okay, but my husband’s Lombardi was terrible: salty and too much thick source. We do not think this restaurant is any better than the chain Olive Garden restaurant, where you do not expect great gourmet food but also won’t have any bad surprise either.
