The taste may vary for each person, but I personally loved how they prepare the food themselves instead of using canned or frozen ingredients. It can get quite busy after 10am on weekends, and there is a bar on the premises. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible and has a bathroom. Overall, I would give the food a 4 out of 5 rating.
I visited this restaurant with a friend during my trip to Long Island. The food was incredibly delicious. The atmosphere and crowd were more trendy and youthful. Our dishes were cooked perfectly, fresh, and hot. I ordered the Pesto Chicken sandwich. They offer a variety of alcoholic drinks. Our server was amazing. The restaurant is quite cold inside, so make sure to bring a jacket.
The restaurant is too noisy for brunch. The food is better than average but nothing exceptional or unique. The strawberry French toast was delicious, but the hash browns were disappointing. Overall, it's just another average brunch spot with nothing remarkable on their menu. Food rating: 4/5
One of the best brunch places on LI! we ordered the pancake combo option where you can choose 3 flavours. the pineapple one was probably the best pancake i’ve ever had and i don’t even like pineapples. we also tried the blueberry danish and classic chocolate chip pancakes both were amazing too! we also got the benedict arnold, so delicious.the staff here are super friendly and the vibe of the place is amazing!
My husband and I went to brunch for our first time, and our last. We both ordered eggs, his scrambled, mine over medium. I really can’t believe the cook would send eggs out that looked this bad. I realize there is oil on the griddle and and sometimes the oil burns, but usually whomever is manning the griddle will wipe it down from time to time. These eggs were swimming in grease. Not only that, the grease was black- not appetizing at all and not over medium either. My husband’s eggs were beautiful. We both didn’t like the strange, mushy “hash browns”. They were soggy, tasteless and unappealing. We both got rye toast and neither was actually toasted. He got sausage and I got bacon; both were good. The atmosphere at Hatch is young and lively. The music is way too loud for normal conversation and certainly not for a breakfast/lunch place. The only positive thing I could say about our experience at Hatch was the waiter, Dakota was very efficient and friendly. There are plenty of places to get breakfast or brunch. If given a choice Hatch would be at the bottom of the list. This place will be one and done for us.
