Super Mex - Huntington Beach

Super Mex came highly rated by local friends so I was excited to try them. I started with their fresh salsa and loved it. I also sampled a pork and a chicken chimichanga. The meat was seasoned and very moist in both but I preferred the chicken. Although the majority preferred the pork. My favorite item was the tacos. The tortillas was fried and loaded with all of the goodies. I especially enjoyed the chicken and guacamole.

WHOA NELLY.... SLOW YOUR ROLL. A few months ago the Machaca Burrito used to be $6.50. It was cheaper than Miguels Jr in the same parking lot that sells these for $7.30. This morning I ordered a Machaca burrito and almost gagged on my coffee when the girl said it was going to be $11.04! From $6.50 to $11.04 is a 170% in the matter of a couple months. Also these used to be tastier, but now they contain more beans and are really bland. Super disappointed in my former go to breakfast burrito place. Olé olé! Whoohoo! Taco Tuesday $1.25 or the full size with guacamole n pico de Gallo $2.45 I had 2 shrimp tacos I asked for the tacon to be fried it was do delicious !! Margaritas all day happy hour of ice $3.50 it was so delicious after suffering thru 3 weeks of $10 margaritas in the cruiseship that taste horrible, I had 2 delicious margaritas here n I'm happy as a lark!! 4 stars, stick with the shrimp, their carne Asada was too chewy.

This location has gone extremely down hill! I used to love this place. GO FIND FIESTA GRILL on 17th street. They do it right. So tasty and so good.

Our family has been loyal to Super Mex, for decades...and this has been our main Super Mex! We always have a great dining experience always leave happy, with full bellies!! But with my dad being a chef/restaurant owner himself, he couldn't stop commenting how amazing our service was with Sylvia!! Especially with Covid and all, we know it's been a challenge, to say the least, for restaurants, but Super Mex was awesome! Very accommodating, kept drinks filled, cleared dirty dishes, food served bubbling hot always so tasty!!! Service was with a happy, so helpful, smiling attitude...even with a service dog (under the table)!! !
