Kabuki Japanese Huntington Beach

I went for happy hour, and while the service was decent, the food was disappointing at best. The sushi rolls were so large in diameter that they were difficult to eat. The sesame chicken was not good, and the sauce was off. I requested ponzu as an alternative, but it was terrible. I won’t be coming back.

Unpleasant Environment! We enjoyed a nice lunch, but we were initially put off by the extremely dirty surroundings. The leather/vinyl bench seats looked so grimy that it was quite unappealing. It's hard for a restaurant to receive positive reviews when the cleanliness is lacking. I wanted to speak to a manager, but no one ever came by; so I decided to reach out to the restaurant directly, but I haven't received a response yet. Since we were there before a movie, it was difficult for us to change our plans, but the restaurant really needs to improve its management when it comes to hygiene and cleanliness.

My favorite sushi place always there about 2/3 times a week. Happy hour 3/6 the best

The receptionist said they do not accept reservations on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Despite having made an Open Table reservation, she would accommodate us anyway. After being seated and fuming about this treatment I asked her to check her computer for Open Table reservations and sure enough my name appeared on the screen. This Kabuki location needs to me educated about Open Table reservations.

Made a reservation for a Sunday evening, only to get there and be told that Kabuki doesn't honor reservations made through open table on weekends. They sat us anyways without a wait, but that's oddly confusing and should be cleared up between open table and the restaurant before making it available online.
