My husband was celebrating his 60th birthday, and I arranged for him to fly a Boeing 737 flight simulator at the nearby Aerospace Experience Flight Simulators, on Maxwell Road. The rooms are comfortable, everything you need in them, comfy pillows, fluffy towels and spacious. The bar area, cosy and easy, no fuss, so relaxing, The food, warming and simple, the home made pie was delicious. The staff so very friendly. We adored Brett, the place wouldn't run without him. He is so welcoming, friendly, cheerful and works so very hard to keep everyone happy. Never met David, the owner, but had a lovely conversation on the phone with him, very funny guy. Thank you for a lovely weekend guys, we will call in again, when we next pass by.
Warm welcome on arrival and drinks served quickly. There was no problem that one of our group was running late. Portions in the carvery were generous and the food was delicious. The choices we made that were not part of the carvery also got 10/10. Puddings were also served quickly and were delicious. All-in-all, nothing to dislike! Thank you Sibson Inn
We stayed here at the weekend the hotel and suroundings are lovely we had dinner and breakfast and it was very yummy. We stayed in room 8 and it was lovely and clean and very cosy. All the workers were so friendly and welcoming We will defo be visiting again 5 all around
First of all on check in we were made to feel very welcome. We stayed here for just 1 night and had a twin which accommodated us and our dog. It was very comfortable, clean and spacious and looked over the fields at the back. You could walk the dog in the field which was a bonus. Yes the Inn is right at the side of the a1 but we couldn’t hear the traffic at all. We ate in the bar with family who live down there and the meal and service was excellent. There were lovely, generous portions of beautiful food brought to us in the lovely surroundings of this ancient building. We ate breakfast the following morning which again was lovely food and good portions. Compliments to all the staff at the hotel for a lovely relaxing and welcoming stay.
We passed this regularly on the way to the lakes and after being let down by a holiday rental company decided to take the plunge and come here for a few days instead. We were very glad we did as it was a very clean and comfortable hotel and very well placed to visit the several tourist spots we had planned to see. Sitting alongside the A1 it's obvious you're going to hear the woosh of traffic, but surprisingly we slept extremely well as the bed was comfy and the bedroom we occupied was situated behind the main building, in a courtyard, in what I think would have been the stables in the 1600's when the place was built. The main hotel was so snug and cosy I can imagine it being a welcome retreat for any traveller needing a good meal or a bed for the night out of the wind and the rain and the hostility of the world in general. In fact, to me, the Sibson Inn felt like it lived in its own sphere where nothing needed to be rushed. The evening menu was limited, but the quantity and quality was excellent. All freshly prepared and very reasonable prices! I have to mention Gabrielle who made us feel most welcome and whose whole customer service ethos was something that should be experienced by everyone! In fact I can think of one or two places that maybe would benefit from learning from her what hospitality actually is. I hope that she's still there when I return which we intend to do next year!
