The Waffle Inn Coffee Shop, Lidgetton

Friendly staff and multiple options for both savoury and sweet waffles. The presentation was very good. Our waffle was okay but it felt like the bananas were frozen beforehand. The ice cream was also like a sorbet with icicles. Having had waffles in other places in the area over the years, this didn’t meet up to those unfortunately.

We had very high expectations based on the reviews on google. The place is very rustic and the flies and bees made it hard to eat. The waffles are overpriced. For reference, the Belgian waffle of similar size at Chocolate Heaven at Piggly Wiggly is R45, whereas the waffles here are R85. The driveway is in a bad state so take caution when driving up. The owners are very friendly and welcoming though.

We were driving past and decided to pull in. We we’re definitely pleasantly surprised. The food ticked all the boxes and we got to feed the goats while waiting for our food. Thank you for the great experience. They’ll definitely see us again

Looked interesting and spontaneously stopped with a group of friends and wow. We were not disappointed. From the top shelf milkshake, the fresh waffles that were mind blowing, to the crumbed chicken strips and cheese that are both made from scratch. Some of the best food you can eat. If you are in the area you have to stop here and try the incredible food. The vibe and the atmosphere is the cherry on top. The friendliest owner/chef you will ever meet. Loved our visit and will 1000% be back again. A definite 10/10 for me.

A lovely little place for family. Great ambiance and the owners make you feel so welcome. Nice and cosy little fire place, great for winter days. The most delicious waffles for mains and dessert. There is a second hand book nook with books and cd's for sale. Also get to see horses and sheep here and there.
