Yo Mamas Soul Food - Houston

The ATMOSPHERE... I feel like eating in my grandmother's kitchen. (man) The ward is disgusting. And their PRICES are loyal to us!!! The best soul food I've had for a long time.

So I was so taken in when walked in. It was the real life walk in to grandma's kitchen vibe. It was homey and when I saw who was serving the meals I was just like I gotta try it. I was reminded of going to grandma's on Sunday for dinner. Thats just the vibe I got. The young ladies were still dressed and ready for church. But for the review. Everything was really good. The baked chicken was well seasoned greens were REALLY good as well as the cabbage. The boys ate Meatloaf and it was gone before I officially sat down to eat. The mac was under seasoned but the rest made up for it. The Kool aid. Brought me back to the cool cup days.

This food is HORRIBLE!! How do serve soul food that is unseasoned, overcooked.

Hey all in all the food was great!They could add some more seasoning/spice, but the overall taste of the 'actual ' food was great and I will be returning.The price point was fair at about $15 after tax for the Turkey Wing meal pictured.

Will be coming back, everything was awesome, service, the atmosphere, the people, the food was good but high for the price, in general it was cool, thanks ?
