The Hot Bagel Shop - Houston

I've been visiting the Hot Bagel shop since I moved to Houston from the Northeast over 20 years ago. Their New York-style bagels are the most authentic and delicious I've ever encountered in the South. They must be using New York water! The interior of the shop is so perfectly designed that I feel like it was transported straight from New Jersey.

I ordered a breakfast bagel sandwich that was quite good. However, the mini kolache bites I also got were disappointing. They were as hard as rocks, as if they had been sitting under the heat lamp for hours. Out of the six I ordered, three didn’t even have sausage, so they were just tough dough. Overall, it wasn’t a spectacular experience, but it wasn’t terrible either.

Great food but every time I preorder food it's NEVER READY and people that go in and order their food are getting it before people that preorder it online. Very frustrating!!

Had a egg and salmon bagel and it was delicious! Loads of filling as well. Only comment is that toppings such as onion, bell pepper, etc.. cost extra and they really don’t give you that much of them. Still it’s only a few cents so I will definitely be returning.

Love their bagels and food. On the weekends when it is busy they might make a mistake because there is so much going on but they are always willing to fix it and are happy!
