Tacos El Jaibo - Houston

The location is on Bellaire, situated in a strip shopping center with convenient parking. The parking lot is a bit worn, but that's typical for the area. Inside, the atmosphere is quite standard, featuring large televisions. When I was there, they played some beautiful and lively music, which added to the experience. The place was clean, and the service was attentive and friendly; I was checked on regularly. As for the food, they served chips with a variety of salsas. I ordered the barbacoa and pastor tacos, and they were served with a side of cilantro. The barbacoa was decent, while the pastor was quite good. Unlike some places, the tacos weren't overly greasy. They have sauce bottles on the tables, and I really enjoyed both that and the red sauce that came with the chips. There are five different sauces available to try—three from the chips and two on the table. I would definitely return for their tacos. They have an extensive menu with reasonable prices, but the tacos at $1.25 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays are unbeatable.

I visited this restaurant to try the quesabirrias. I enjoyed the beef quesabirria, although it was a bit too oily for my liking, making it somewhat wobbly. The radishes and cilantro helped balance the flavors. Overall, the other dishes looked good, and the atmosphere was pleasant. The service was quick and friendly.

I really enjoy dining here. The Alambres is incredibly tasty, and the Barbacoa tacos are tender and juicy! Food: 5/5.

The food was slightly underseasoned and could use a bit more flavor. I ordered beef tacos and had to request a fork, which was a bit inconvenient. Additionally, if you pay with a credit card, there's an extra fee; I ended up paying an additional $3.68 without being informed about this beforehand. I find it frustrating when surprises come up on the bill, as it feels like I’m being taken advantage of. They should either have a sign about the extra charge or simply inform customers directly. I would recommend paying with cash instead. The place was clean, and the service was decent, but the food was a bit bland for my taste.
