Sazon Los Abuelos - Houston

The food at this restaurant is amazing, and we usually stick to our favorites like menudo for breakfast, gorditas, tacos, or chilaquiles. The food is delicious, but the service is terrible. You can ask for something, but the chances of actually receiving it are slim. For example, refills on coffee, a cup, sugar, or a fork are difficult to come by. During our last visit, my husband bit into a barbacoa taco only to find it cold. We informed our waitress, who took the taco back. To our surprise, she returned with the same taco, reheated, and with the same bite missing. It's a gamble dining here.

This restaurant was incredibly discriminatory! As a dark-skinned Afro Latina, my friend and I were blatantly ignored and mistreated. We received service after lighter-skinned Latinos, which is completely unacceptable. If you are a person of color, I would strongly advise against dining here. The food was rated 1 out of 5.

This restaurant offers the best food for the price, no doubt. I have been and will continue to visit this place. The menu has a variety of options and everything I have tried so far has been delicious. Rating: 5/5.

The gorditas de puerco prensado are bomb. I get them with beans and cheese. Their pozole aka pork rib soup with hominy are off the chain when you are hung over. Their prices are fair and the service is fast.Food: 5/5
