San Dong Noodle Dumpling House Shān Dōng Miàn Guǎn

I think I’ll try the buns with meat inside next time.) Overall, I highly recommend this place for their dumplings. They’re just really delicious and affordable too!

The beef noodle soup is excellent, featuring a rich broth, tender meat, and delicious noodles. However, the air conditioning isn’t working well, making it quite hot inside, which left me sweating while I ate. Overall, I would rate the food a 4 out of 5.

This is a charming and pleasant spot! You place your order, take your number, and then enjoy your meal—whether you dine in or take out. You’ll need to grab your own utensils, drinks, and takeout containers since there are no waitstaff. I appreciate the no-frills dining experience as it helps keep prices affordable. The dishes I ordered #1, #17) were nut allergy friendly.This is the golden standard of fast, delicious Asian food. Counter-service order, get a number, pick up some utensils and a Styrofoam cup for water, and try to find a table during the very busy dinner rush if you get there around 7PM).Orders came out incredibly quickly. I think it was less than 10 minutes for our three orders of the #1 Roast Beef Noodle to come out, and another 10-15 minutes for our #17 Dumplings with Beef Soup to come out.Everything was delicious. The soup was flavorful and not greasy at all with baby bok choy, pickled greens, green onion. The beef was amazingly tender and I got more of it here than places that cost 3x as much. I got enough noodles to leave me satisfied, and I usually order an extra order of noodles when I go out for ramen.The soup dumplings were massive with plenty of meat inside of them. They are not perfect soup dumplings in that you may not get soup with every bite, but since it is served in a beef soup you can easily remedy that by simply using a large spoon and slurping up some soup with your dumpling. You can't beat the price of $9 for 12 dumplings.For the taste and value, San Dong Noodle House is the gold standard to benchmark other places against.

This place is small and easy to miss, but it’s clearly a favorite of the area, because the restaurant stayed busy the entire time we were there. We tried a few items but my favorite were the sautéed pork dumplings, the extra crispiness was great flavoring and I also really enjoying the beef broth. I had that soup the next day and it was still amazing. I recommend taking a bite of the dumpling and scooping some of the broth into the dumpling, so yummy! I do not recommend coming to visit this place to sit down. The restroom was disgusting. I’m not sure when the last time was that it was cleaned, but there was **** all over the sink. Pretty disgusting. If the broth wouldn’t be so good, I wouldn’t even recommend pick up.
