Pearl Restaurant And Bar At The Sam Houston

Prior to our meal, we enjoyed a drink at the bar, and the service there was outstanding. The bartender expertly crafted a slightly dirty martini that was perfectly blended. While I would recommend the bar, I cannot say the same for the restaurant itself. There are plenty of excellent dining options in the CBC area.

We visited this restaurant and it definitely won't be our last time! Our server Meghan was an absolute delight and very helpful when it came to the menu and in conversation. The dishes we ordered—the bouillabaisse and short rib with Brussels sprouts and spaetzle—were among the best fresh food we've had in quite a while. We made sure to save half of our meals so we could enjoy dessert: the white chocolate bread pudding, which was wonderfully delightful and not too heavy. Overall, a fantastic experience!

We had a wonderful date night out with friends. The food and wine were excellent, making it a perfect way to kick off the evening.

The Pearl Restaurant was found CLOSED when we arrived on time for our reservation, despite multiple confirmations through Open Table. Luckily, the hotel bar was open and the kitchen was staffed (to handle hotel room service) and the bartender Santos scrambled to accommodate us and two other parties in the bar. Santos did a great job under the circumstances, even though he was the only person handling the room... It seemed very strange that a Hilton property would close a restaurant when the hotel is open AND not communicate with Open Table.

Great service from Amy who was very accommodating when we wanted to sit in the bar area instead of restaurant so we could watch the Astros game. The food we ordered was excellent and my husband cleaned his plate with “the best shrimp and grits” he’d ever had (which is an extensive list! We will definitely be going back!
